Kirschling Second in High Jump at Meet of Champions
The West Deptford junior cleared 5-6 to finish second at the Meet of Champions.
Megan Kirschling completed her standout track season as the second-best high jumper in New Jersey.
Kirschling, a junior at West Deptford High School, jumped 5-6 at the Meet of Champions, which wrapped up on Monday after a rain delay last week, placing only behind Fiona Paladino, of Montgomery, who cleared 5-8.
Her result was a big improvement over her last two heights. Although she was second at sectionals and won the state Group II title, she did so with heights of 5-4 and 5-2, respectively.
