Marching Eagles Win Third-Straight ACC Title
West Deptford avenges their loss at the South Jersey Championships with the best performance of the weekend in Hershey, PA.
Exactly one week after the West Deptford Marching Eagles got edged out by Deptford in the South Jersey Championship, they came storming back on one of the biggest stages of them all.
The Marching Eagles blew away they judges and the competition at the Atlantic Coast Championships at Hersehypark Stadium on Sunday afternoon. They won the Group 2 Open Championship with a remarkable season-high score of 97.65. Their score easily beat out second-place Allegany High School, who scored a 96.45.
West Deptford left little doubt in anyone's minds who was the best. In the individual awards of the Marching Eagles won for best brass, woodwinds, color guard, music and visuals. It was the first time that they had ever won the award for Best Color Guard at the ACC level. West Deptford also had the highest scoring performance for the entire weekend across the divisions that competed.

The title is West Deptford's third consecutive at the ACCs. In 2010 and 2011, the Marching Eagles finished first in the Group 3 Open Division. Despite moving down a division in 2012, they had no problem repeating at champions.
