Meghan McGlinchey, West Deptford Grad, Named A-10 Athlete of the Week

2012 has been a pretty good year so far for .

The LaSalle junior speech pathology major and 2009 grad is coming into her own on the track and piling up the honors along the way.

After winning her first Atlantic 10 indoor title this winter, scoring the 5K championship in 16:58.90 at the conference championships at the University of Rhode Island in February, McGlinchey has picked up right where she left off in transitioning to the outdoors.

At the Stanford Invitational in California this past weekend, she raced her way to a second-place finish in the 10,000 meters, clocking a 33:46.04 and netting the Atlantic 10 Student-Athlete of the Week and Women's Outdoor Track & Field Performer of the Week honors in the process.

The finish ranks McGlinchey tops in the Atlantic 10 in the 10K, sixth overall in the east and 17th nationally in the event.
