West Deptford Boys' XC Rolls, Girls' Tennis Almost Perfect

With its top two runners taking a break, the Eagles' runners still dominate.

Ray Parsons and Kevin Cianfarini are the unquestioned leaders of West Deptford’s boys’ cross-country team, but they got a rare day off Thursday and their teammates didn’t miss a beat, torching Audubon and Collingswood in a tri-meet at West Deptford Park.

Andrew Coppola, Jon Ladner and Dale Johnson crossed the finish line within a second of each other, posting 18:22 and 18:23s to lead the Eagles to a 16-42 win over Audubon and a 15-49 win over Collingswood to improve to 4-1 on the season.

“We sat out Ray and Kevin to let some other guys step up, and they did that and more,” head coach Mark Drummond said.
