West Deptford Girls' Basketball Comes Back Against Timber Creek

The Eagles rallied to win in the consolation round of the South Jersey Invitational Sunday.

After a rough first half where the team struggled to find points, the West Deptford girls' basketball flipped it around after halftime to rally for the win over Timber Creek in a South Jersey Invitational consolation game at Kingsway Sunday.

West Deptford was only able to muster five points in the first quarter and six in the second, as they trailed the Chargers by 13 at the break.

But the Eagles outscored Timber Creek, 27-11, in the second half to pull off the 38-35 win, their 14th of the season.

Megan Kirschling (12) and Danielle McKeown (11) led West Deptford in scoring, while Megan Knoblock knocked down a pair of treys on her way to adding eight points.

The girls take on Lindenwold and Woodbury this week, with a shot at tying the school record for wins heading into the South Jersey, Group 2 playoffs, which start at the end of the month at home against Deptford.
