West Deptford Girls' Basketball in Line for Home Playoff Game

The Eagles notched two wins before the cutoff date to improve to 11-6.

The girls' basketball team looks to be in the driver's seat for a slot in the top half of the South Jersey, Group 2 tournament draw after notching two wins just before Saturday's cutoff.

After dismantling Audubon Thursday night, the Eagles took down Cumberland Regional, 52-43, in a non-conference game Saturday afternoon.

Danielle McKeown led the effort against the Colts, scoring 22 points—including 11 in the second quarter—as the Eagles led wire-to-wire to score their 11th victory, which currently puts them seventh in their group.

Against Audubon, McKeown and Megan Kirschling did the most damage, combining for 32 points in a game where nine West Deptford players scored.

Full playoff seedings should be out some time this week from the NJSIAA.
