West Deptford Sports Wrap: Baseball Gets Back to Winning
The Eagles also got a win from the golf team Thursday.
Freshman Anthony Dilks pitched a complete-game two-hitter and Tyler Strano crushed a solo home run to break a 2-2 tie as the baseball team fought off a pesky Paulsboro squad, 4-2, at Union Field Thursday.
Dilks, who struck out seven Red Raiders, also went 2-for-3 at the plate with a run batted in. Ty Castellano and Brendan Glass also added RBIs for the Eagles.

Girls’ lacrosse
West Deptford fell behind in the first half and couldn’t make up enough ground in the second, falling to Cherokee, 10-8. The Eagles outscored Cherokee in the second half, but the 8-5 advantage the Chiefs built at halftime was enough of a cushion to preserve the game.
Paige Paratore, who scored four goals, and Rachel Krott, who netted a hat trick, were the top scorers for West Deptford.
