West Deptford Sports Wrap: Baseball, Girls' Lacrosse Lose

Girls’ lacrosse

Two days after taking a loss at home, Kingsway came to town and dealt West Deptford its second loss of the season in a low-scoring affair. The Dragons took a 5-3 lead at halftime, and the two teams had an even more anemic offense under the lights, as Kingsway eventually pulled away for the 8-5 win.

Baseball

West Deptford had no answer for Haddon Township’s Pat Burns, who shut out the Eagles in a 5-0 game. Harry Sturgis clubbed a double for West Deptford, one of just three hits for the team.
