West Deptford Sports Wrap: Golf Wins, Baseball Falls Late
The Eagles golf team took down Overbrook, while the baseball team lost in the late going to Collingswood.
West Deptford’s Kevin Brockway was the low man once again, as the Eagles breezed by Overbrook, 177-206, at Trump National Golf Club in Pine Hill Tuesday.
Brockway fired a 40 on the difficult track through the edge of the Pine Barrens, while Matt Santarelli (44) and John Meagher (46) weren’t far behind.

The Eagles carried a 4-3 lead on Collingswood heading into the sixth inning, only to see it all unravel in the final frames. The Panthers, who took advantage of three West Deptford errors, plated two in the sixth and added an insurance run in the seventh to win, 6-4.
West Deptford’s Harry Sturgis took the loss on the mound.
