West Deptford Spring Season Opens Today

Three of the high school's teams have their home openers this afternoon, with another three on the road.

Even though the warm weather dropped in a few weeks early, spring officially begins today, with the opening of ’s sports season.

The baseball, boys’ lacrosse and girls’ lacrosse teams all have their home openers at 3:45 p.m. today.

Baseball fans can head to , while lacrosse will be at the high school fields and the neighboring West Deptford lacrosse field on Red Bank Avenue.

Softball, golf and boys’ tennis are all on the road to start off the season.

Softball will play at Paul VI High School in Haddon Township at 4 p.m., boys’ tennis is at Overbrook High School at 3:45 p.m. and golf takes on Cumberland Regional at Running Deer in Pittsgrove Township at 3:30 p.m.

Boys’ and girls’ track won’t open the season until Thursday, when each squad faces Haddon Heights and Gateway in a pair of tri-meets.
