seniors Rebecca Crowther and Kevin Brockway, Jr. are the GFWC Woman’s Club of West Deptford 2012 scholarship winners.
This year’s $1,000 scholarships are presented to two seniors who are continuing their education and who have met the criteria of “Leadership, Character and Service to School and Community.”
Rebecca Crowther, the daughter of Bradford and Cyra Crowther, will be attending Rowan University in the fall to major in biological sciences and music. Kevin Brockway Jr., the son of Kevin and Ginny Brockway, will be attending Monmouth University to major in business.
These outstanding students were chosen from a large group of applicants who have performed numerous service projects for West Deptford High School and their community.
The GFWC Woman’s Club of West Deptford is a community-based service organization and a member of the NJSFWC.
Proceeds from the club’s annual Parade of Ponds tour to be held on Sunday, Sept. 16, and the Designer Bag Bingo night, to be held on Friday, Nov. 16, fund these annual scholarships.
