Eagles Baseball Hits the Road for the Playoffs

Just call them the Road Warriors.

After beating Overbrook last week, a trio of losses snatched away any hope of the West Deptford High School baseball team had for kicking off the playoffs at Union Field.

Instead, the Eagles drew the 10 seed in South Jersey, Group 2, and will take a long ride down Delsea Drive to Middle Township, down in Cape May County, for the opening round of the playoffs in a 4 p.m. game Monday.

And, barring a major upset by Overbrook, one of their potential opponents, a win over Middle doesn’t get them a home game, either–they’d travel to Delran, the second seed, later in the week for a second-round game.
