Eagles Pulling Away in Group 2 Power Points

West Deptford football opens up a 14-point advantage on second-place Cedar Creek in the latest South Jersey Group 2 Power Points.

After demolishing Audubon 48-0 on Saturday, West Deptford was able to pull away a bit in the South Jersey Group 2 power points this week.

The Eagles gained 22 points for their win over the 3-2 Green Wave, giving them a sizable 14-point advantage over Cedar Creek for the top spot in the group. The Pirates gained only eight points for defeating winless Pleasantville on Friday.

The other big change in the standings is the decline of Colonial Conference teams Haddon Heights and Haddonfield. Heights was taken down by Paulsboro this weekend while Haddonfield lost to Woodbury. This caused both teams to take a tumble in the standings. Heights has fallen from fourth all the way down to ninth and out of playoff position with three weeks to go. The Bulldawgs, meanwhile, only fell to seventh, but are just three points ahead of Haddon Heights, putting them on the postseason bubble as well.
