The Gloucester County College (GCC) Womens' basketball team wants you to wear pink to their home game. The team is participating in the Womens' Basketball Coaches Association's (WBCA) Pink Zone. The Pink Zone program is one meant to bring breast cancer awareness across the globe, in neighborhoods, in schools and on the basketball court.
All of the money raised from the basketball event will be donated to the Kay Yow/WBCA Cancer Fund. The late Kay Yow was a womens' college basketball coach that battled breast cancer several times before passing away in 2009. She was also one o the founders of the WBCA Cancer Fund.
The Gloucester County Womens' Basketball team will take on Atlantic Cape County College at 5 p.m. in the Gloucester County College Gymnasium.
