Kirschling Claims High Jump State Title

The West Deptford junior redeems herself after missing out on a South Jersey title last week.

It didn’t take long for Megan Kirschling to find redemption.

A week after falling short of a South Jersey title in the high jump, the West Deptford junior won a state title in her featured event at South Plainfield Friday, clearing 5-2 to edge out a trio of other jumpers.

Kirschling’s win was the lone state championship for the Eagles on the day, though several of her teammates placed in other events.
