A few more wins made a world of difference for the West Deptford softball team.
After reeling off four wins in the run-up to last Friday’s cutoff date, the team scored the sixth seed in South Jersey, Group 2, and will host Colonial Conference foe Haddonfield in the first round of the playoffs.
And it’ll stay a Colonial Conference affair in the second round, as well–if the Eagles get past Haddonfield, they’ll face the winner of Collingswood, the 14 seed, and Haddon Heights, which is seeded third.

The Eagles have beaten Collingswood already this season, but haven’t had any luck against Haddon Heights, losing a pair of games.
The first round is set for next Tuesday, May 24, with game time still to be announced. Second-round games will take place next Thursday, May 26.
