Sophomore Eagles Clinch Division Title, Freshmen and Junior Teams Win

WD sophomore Eagles clinched the National Division title with a shutout win this past weekend. The freshmen team can clinch their division with a win in the final two games.

The West Deptford sophomore Eagles clinched their regular season division title on Saturday at RiverWinds Park, while the freshmen and junior teams got one step closer to clinching their own, as all three teams defeated Pennsville.

The freshmen Eagles kicked off the day with a 26-0 shutout. Lawrence Howard ran for 101 yards and two touchdowns, while Saleem Washington added two touchdowns of his own as the Eagles did a good job of controlling the ball on the ground.

On defense, Pennsville was stifled all afternoon by West Deptford. Washington, Trevor Lundfelt, Jamar Wallace and Jordyn Roane combined for 18 tackles in helping the Eagles earn their second shutout of the season.
