Viewfinder: Marty Gray Preseason Games
The West Deptford Midget Football teams take on Woodbury in the annual preseason tuneup.
The four West Deptford youth teams split with the Woodbury Steelers in the annual Marty Gray games Sunday, with the freshman and sophomore Eagles coming away with tight wins.
While the junior squad, which lost, 40-12, and the seniors, which lost, 36-6, still have some kinks to work out before the regular season starts out, the sophomores and freshman each came away with 7-6 wins in the first game action of the summer.
The season officially opens in two weeks when the Eagles travel to Penns Grove for the opener, with games at 11 a.m. and 1, 3 and 5 p.m.
