WD Freshmen Bounce Back, Improve to 4-1 in TCMFL

Sophomore and junior teams also hold records of 4-1 as the Eagles head down the home stretch of the regular season.

A week after a frustrating road loss at Woodstown, the West Deptford freshmen team bounced back to defeat Collingswood 30-6 on the road this past Saturday. The sophomore and junior teams also earned wins while the senior team lost.

The freshman were able to get the running game going again with 286 yards on the ground. Lawrence Howard scored three touchdowns, all of 40+ yards, while Jabil Barksdale and Saleem Washington also added touchdown runs.

West Deptford did a good job of holding the Collingswood offense to a single touchdown. Howard had a huge fumble recovery and combined with Washington, Dominick Walton, Damian Waters and Jamar Wallace for 16 tackles.
