WD Wrestling Breezes Past Haddon Heights

The Eagles have now won three of their last four matches after a dominating performance on Monday night against the Garnets.

Coming off a weekend where they went 2-1 in a quad-meet, West Deptford wrestling continued to rebound nicely from its heartbreaking loss against Haddonfield last Wednesday with a 58-16 victory over conference-rival Haddon Heights.

The Eagles lost just two matches on Monday night as they cruised past a Haddon Heights team that has now lost four of its last five. West Deptford recorded eight pins on the night, including ones by Griffin Bonner and Tyler Kaminski. Sophomore Walt Vickery and junior Dustin Zuzulock each earned pins just one minute into their respective matches.

Senior Rory Bonner also kept his undefeated streak going on Monday, earning a 17-5 major decision over Garnets senior Phillip Azzari in a huge matchup between two top wrestlers. The loss was just Azzari's second of the season. The win improved Bonner's record to 10-0 on the year.
