West Deptford Boys Team Seeded First, Girls No. 2 in Soccer Playoffs

Playoff matchups were announced this week. The playoffs begin on Monday and Tuesday.

The West Deptford High School boys’ soccer team grabbed the top spot in the playoffs. The No. 1 seeded Eagles will host No. 16 Bridgeton on Tuesday, Nov. 5, in the first round of the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 2 playoffs, according to brackets posted on nj.com.

The winner of that game will face the winner of the game between No. 8 Haddon Heights and No. 9 Deptford on Nov. 8.

Haddonfield was seeded fourth and will host No. 3 Barnegat in the first round on Tuesday. The winner faces either No. 5 Sterling or No. 12 Pleasantville in the quarterfinals.

Collingswood will start the playoffs on the road. The Panthers were seeded No. 11 and will visit No. 6 Buena on Tuesday.

The West Deptford girls are the No. 2 seed in Group 2. The Eagles received a bye, and face the winner of the game between No. 7 Cedar Creek and No. 10 Deptford.

Haddonfield was seeded No. 1 in the 13-team field. The Bulldawgs receive a first round bye, and host the winner of the game between No. 8 Pemberton and No. 9 Sterling on Nov. 7.
