West Deptford Girls Lacrosse Team Advances to South Jersey Final Behind Two Milestones

Senior Goalie Alyssa Sorrentino recorded her 500th career save and sophomore Sam Budd recorded her 100th goal.

The West Deptford High School girls lacrosse team advanced to the NJSIAA South Jersey Group II final in historic fashion.

The Eagles defeated Manasquan, 13-8, on Thursday. The Eagles will face Red Bank Catholic at Count Basie Field in Red Bank on May 28, 2 p.m.

Senior Goalie Alyssa Sorrentino recorded her 500th career save in the win, according to West Deptford High School Athletic Director Jason Morrell.

Sophomore Sam Budd recorded her 100th goal. She joined Paige Paratore, who scored her 100th goal earlier this season.

West Deptford is the No. 2 seed in the playoffs. Red Bank Catholic is the top seed.
