West Deptford Football Team Remains Unbeaten With Big Win

Isaiah Worthy reached the end zone four times and the West Deptford High School football team remained undefeated with a 63-8 win over Overbrook, according to nj.com.

Worthy scored three times in the second quarter with the Eagles already leading 21-0. He scored on runs of 2, 10 and 47 yards. In the third, he added a 45-yard touchdown run.

Kevin DeCaesar scored twice, on runs of 1 and 5 yards. Eight of the Eagles' nine touchdowns were on the ground. Quarterback Mike Dawes' lone touchdown pass was a 20-yard strike to Shai Mumford.

West Deptford is now 3-0. The Eagles return to action in two weeks, when they visit Collingswood on Oct. 11, 7 p.m.

Boys' soccer:

West Deptford 3, Haddonfield 2: The Eagles held a 2-1 halftime lead, and overcame 11 saves from Haddonfield goalie Jonathan Baxter.

Ryan Kappre, Luke McKeown and Cole Van Dorick each scored for West Deptford. Zach Peterson had two assists and Gary Simmons had one. Goalie Perry Corsetti had four saves.

Haddonfield goals came from John Alemi and Wyatt Dugan. Luke Pease had an assist.

West Deptford 2, Delsea 1: The game was 1-1 at the end of regulation, but a goal in the first overtime period helped the Eagles remain undefeated. Zach Peterson and Jack Warlow each contributed a goal, while Kevin Keane provided an assist. Goalkeeper Perry Corsetti made nine saves.

West Deptford 9, Overbrook 0: Seven Eagles scored, including Kevin Gill and Cole Van Dorick, each of whom posted two goals and an assist. Luke McKeown, Dylan Morgan and Zach Peterson each had a goal and an assist. Hunter Holmstrom and Tyler Robinson each had a goal.

Girls' soccer:

Haddonfield 1, West Deptford 0: The Bulldawgs handed the Eagles their first loss of the season in Saturday's battle of unbeatens. Kylie Kirk scored the lone goal, in the second half. Carly Bonnet had the assist.

Haddonfield improved to 8-0, while West Deptford fell to 6-1.

West Deptford 7, Overbrook 0: Sam Budd led the way as six different Eagles scored goals in the win. Budd scored twice. Valerie Palmer had two assists. Goalie Maggie Davis made two saves.

Tina Furfari, Carly Kiley, Kelly Meagher and Gabby Sileo each found the back of the net, while Makenna Moreno had a goal and an assist. Nicole Pinto, Madison Moreno and Natalie Carrero also assisted on goals.

West Deptford 6, Paulsboro 0: The scoring barrage began early in the week, as six different Eagles scored one goal, including Sam Budd, Liz Fenton, Tina Furfari, Makenna Moreno, Paige Paratone and Gabby Sileo each found the back of the net. Goalie Maggie Davis made one save, and Carly Kiley had two assists.
