West Deptford Takes on Paulsboro in Thanksgiving Day Tilt

The Colonial Conference champs travel to Paulsboro for a 10 a.m. start on Thursday.

Football and Thanksgiving go hand in hand, and there will be a fun appetizer to the NFL holiday match-ups in Paulsboro on Thursday morning.

The Colonial Conference champion West Deptford Eagles will visit the Red Raiders on turkey day for a 10 a.m. kickoff.

The Eagles had another solid season, with running back Gerald Owens scoring his 66th career touchdown, a new school record.

But even the state's longest winning streak comes to an end, and it did for the Eagles, who came up short against Haddonfield two weeks ago.

The Dawgs advanced past both West Deptford and Camden High Schools to to the South Jersey Group 2 championship at The College of New Jersey, where they'll take on the Woodstown Wolverines (December 6).
