Wrestling Slowly Climbing Up Power Points Standings

With a few recent wins yet to be added in, West Deptford is on the cusp of joining the top six teams in the South Jersey Group 2 power points.

West Deptford wrestling appears headed in the right direction, especially after the unveiling of the NJSIAA's latest power points standings.

Despite the Eagles' two wins over the weekend and victory over Haddon Heights on Monday not being included in the latest standings, West Deptford actually moved up one spot, to seventh. Their power points total dropped just a notch from last week, going from 24.33 to 24.25. The only new match included in West Deptford's total for this week was their tiebreaker loss to Haddonfield.

At the top, Clayton/Glassboro jumped just ahead of Highland for second place. Both schools remain over two full points behind undefeated Delsea. The Eagles are currently just one-fourth of a point behind Gateway/Woodbury in what would be the sixth and final playoff spot if the season ended today.
