Assault Claim Filed Against "Jersey Shore's" Ortiz

Citizen files complaint in wake of fight at Bamboo Bar last weekend

SEASIDE HEIGHTS, NJ -- Another member of MTV's "Jersey Shore" cast is in trouble.

Ronald Ortiz Margo, known as "Ronnie," is the subject of a simple assault complaint filed by a private citizen, according to Seaside Heights Detective Steve Korman.

Justin Viterito, age and hometown not given, filed the complaint on Wednesday, June 13, Korman said, in the wake of a fight at Bamboo Bar that occurred on Saturday, June 9.

The assault claim comes just days after another cast member, of New Egypt, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct after dancing in the middle of a street and stopping traffic.

Please tell me you're joking Diane. Are we watching the same show? Have you seen the past actions of these cast members? They're 30 years old and they act like hoodlums. How's that paycheck from MTV doing Diane.

What was Seaside thinking? Show me the money! That's it in a nutshell...and Seaside is making LOTS of money while the film crew is here. Meals, hotel rooms, etc. Unfortunately the sleeze factor brings money in too. =( Not a smart choice by our 'so called' leaders over there! It's always about the all-might dollar today and no one cares or can think about the long term effects because they can't think past the ends of their ignorant noses!

Diane, with all due respect (and I realize this is not the point of the topic) but Toms River is a lovely town to live in. If you are a drunk idiot, you are a drunk idiot, fair enough. Most likely, these kids (or not kids, fair enough as well) are paid to act as such. Either way, Toms River is a delightful area with alot to offer. Seaside while being known as the party town to PPB's family orientated atmosphere has gotten alot better over the years. People will do what they will do in any given situation. These kids are doing just that. It is unfair to group all Toms River and Seaside locals (yes, I was once one-for 29 some odd years) in the same boat. Further, to touch on the actual subject, we were not there with Ronnie and cannot know what actually transpired.

@jan. Are they from up north or SI? I also would consider them locals. I was reading the patch about arrests and in the words of the article they said locals.

@Annette...locals are from Ocean County
