Green-Field Swim Club Hangs with Wedgewood in Season Opener

The team hung with the best in Tri-County's A division before falling just short Saturday, 292-262.

Green-Fields Swim Club swimmers posted 80 Tri-County qualifying times and hung with top-ranked and defending A-division champion Wedgewood Swim Club in the opening meet of the summer season this past weekend, before Haddonfield-based Wedgewood pulled out the 292-262 win.

Green-Fields had eight individual double event winners and three relay team double winners on the day, and Nolan Jess set a new club record in the 25 breaststroke, winning in 20.60 to break the record, previously held by Nathan Jess, by nearly a full second.
