West Deptford D.A.R.E. Program Graduates 2013 Class

Fifth-graders celebrated with West Deptford police at a K-9 demonstration in the afternoon and with a skating party in Brooklawn at night.

Fifth-graders in West Deptford got an education in citizenship and self-esteem as they completed the D.A.R.E. program with a graduation ceremony June 6 at the West Deptford Middle School.

Armed with information about how to avoid the dangers of substance abuse and bullying, top students were acknowledged for their reflections on the program in an essay contest.

The kids got a demonstration from the West Deptford Police K-9 unit and participated in a roller skating party later that evening at the Westbrook Bowling Lanes in Brooklawn.
