Family Game Night, Taste of Italy

There's also a West Deptford Committee meeting Thursday night and Friday night child care at the RiverWinds among the week's events.

At 7 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 16art historian Ann Swartz takes you on a tour of the Pop Art movement at the Woodbury public library, thanks to a grant from the New Jersey History Commission. The event is free and refreshments will be served.

Monday is also the weekly meeting for the West Deptford RiverWinds Advisory Board and the Environmental Commission; the former meets at the RiverWinds Community Center and the latter meets at the township municipal building.

It's also back to school night for parents at Red Bank Elementary; stop by the school from 7 to 8 p.m.

Get a taste of Italy on Wednesday, Sept. 18, as the Gloucester County Italian Heritage Commission hosts a fundraiser for its Italian Heritage Festival of Gloucester County from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Auletto Caterers in Deptford.

For $35, you get Italian hors d’oeuvres, wines, cheeses, a pasta bar, desserts, espresso, and more. Proceeds from the event will also support scholarships for students studying Italian.

At 6 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 19, the RiverWinds Community Center is hosting a free family game night for its members. Teams must be made up of five members with at least one adult participant (age 18 or older).

At 7 p.m., the township will hold its biweekly meeting of local government in the township municipal building. Stay tuned for a copy of the agenda.

It's also back to school night at Oakview Elementary School from 7 to 9 p.m.

Friday, Sept. 20 brings with it a chance to see the award-winning, feature-length movie No Footing, directed by Gloucester County resident Michael Licisyn. Licisyn will present the film at Woodbury High School from 7 to 10 p.m. on Friday as part of the Fall Arts Festival.

Need some child care coverage for that event? Drop them off at RiverWinds Community Center on Friday and pay $16 for your child to receive an evening of activities, games, and movies ($6 per additional sibling). Call by Wednesday to reserve your spot. 

On Saturday, Sept. 21, the Center for Family Services is hosting a 5K in Washington Lake Park in Sewell, with free food, live music, games, and awards for top runners.
