Yard Sale, Pet Blessing Head Up Week in West Deptford

Thursday October 3, there's a regularly scheduled meeting of the West Deptford Township Committee at 7 p.m. in the municipal building.

If you're in the mood for a bargain, Saturday, October 5 brings with it a multi-family yard sale in National Park. Come by to pick up collectibles, new dishes still in boxes, kitchen items, sports equipment (skates, fins) and more. Most items around $5. For more information, call 856-537-5065.

At 9 a.m., you can head out to the Swedesboro-Woolwich Parks and Recreation Health, Wellness and Safety Fair for a 3-mile walk/5.5-mile run that benefits the Greater Philadelphia Cancer Foundation/Barbara A. Colameco Transportation Fund.

Then, at 10 a.m., township pet owners can take their beloved animals to receive a blessing from Pastor Gary Brennan at the Colonial Manor United Methodist Church. Canned goods will be collected for the church food bank as well.

At 11 a.m. on Sunday, October 6, take your dog to the Woof Walk fundraiser at Bethel Mill Park in Washington Township. Proceeds benefit ongoing dog training for pet owners adopting dogs from South Jersey-based animal shelters.
