A man in all black hits the store, stealing cash and cigarettes at gunpoint.
A man dressed head-to-toe in black robbed the Heritage’s on Delaware Street at gunpoint Thursday night, West Deptford police Chief Craig Mangano said. The unidentified man walked into the convenience store just before 10 p.m., brandishing a black handgun, Mangano said, threatened an employee and demanded cash and cigarettes. After stealing an unspecified amount of cash and cigarettes, the robber took off east down Delaware Street, toward Woodbury, Mangano said. One of the department’s K-9 units was brought in to try to track the man, but that…

Eyewitnesses say the man was wearing a dreadlocked wig that he discarded in his escape. No one was harmed.
About 30 minutes before closing time Monday night, a man disguised in a dreadlocked wig stole nearly $1,000 from the Haddon Township Dollar Tree at gunpoint, then fled in a maroon sedan. Nobody was harmed, but the incident stunned a pair of young clerks because they’ve seen the man in the store before. “It seems he’s been targeting us,” said Joe, 24, a Haddon Township native, who asked to be identified only by his first name. “We’re all hyped up.” Another employee was working in the front of the shop when it happened. He noticed a man in his mid-20s or early 30s, with elaborately bobby-pinned dreadlocks. That employee had seen the man before, and for some reason, tonight it made him uneasy. He wasn’t alone in his suspicions. “An old lady …

You have no idea the impact you probably made on the employees …   more ›
