Owner Greg Payer expects the new location to be ready by February. His isn't the only business on the move next month.
With landscaping, renovations and some temporary signage, G’s Liquor Gallery is gearing up for its relocation. But not to fear—the new location is only a mile down the road. Owner Greg Payer expects the move from Sherwood Plaza to the new plaza to happen sometime in February, but will not have an exact date until construction is complete. After the 997 Kings Highway plaza was on and off the market for five years, Payer snapped it up. He'll use the vacant space—former Terry’s Tropical Tans—to house his business. With a bigger space, Payer plans to beef up his store with an expanded craft beer section and craft beer kegs. While the move will bring about a different look to G’s Liquors Gallery, Payer says customers can expect the same from …

After getting the green light from the West Deptford zoning board to move, Greg Payer hopes to have his business moved before the holidays.
Beer and cheesesteaks in one stop? Not a bad idea, with football season right around the corner, and it'll be an option if G’s Liquor Gallery moves in next to King of Steaks this fall. Greg Payer, owner of the liquor store currently located in Sherwood Plaza, says there are still too many pieces of the puzzle missing for anything to be concrete at this point. With approval to move from the zoning board to move about a mile down Kings Highway, Payer says it’s just a matter of waiting on financing. “Nothing is definite 'til I hear from the bank,” says Payer, who has plans to buy the entire lot which sits on the intersection of Kings Highway and Parkville-Station Road. The lot currently houses King of Steaks and the former Terry’s Tropical …

The liquor store got the approval it needed from West Deptford's zoning board as owner Greg Payer considers a move down Kings Highway.
G’s Liquor Gallery took the first step of what won’t have to be many in a possible move down Kings Highway, scoring approval from the West Deptford zoning board Tuesday night on a relocation plan. While owner Greg Payer stressed it’s far from a done deal, he presented a plan that would move the business less than a mile from the Sherwood Square Shopping Center to the former location of Terry’s Tropical Tans, near the intersection of Parkville Road and Kings Highway. And that presentation went off with little opposition, as the zoning board overwhelmingly said yes, in a 6-1 vote. Much of the debate about the proposal came over how the liquor store would share space with King of Steaks, especially when it comes to deliveries—both zoning …

That's great! The liquor store has always done well. So has The King Of Steaks. Now the partners of the liquor store are offering a deli. That's awesome! Of course that will do very well too I'm sure. It seems like it's going to be a win win for every business. Good luck to them all!   more ›
