Uzi-Wielding Bank Robber Sentenced

Warren Christopher Davis learned his fate Monday for holding up a Deptford bank in 2011 with a Uzi-style weapon, terrorizing employees in the process.

A Paulsboro man who brandished an Uzi when he robbed a Deptford bank will spend the next 13 years in prison. Warren Christopher Davis, 32, of the 200 block of West Broad Street, Paulsboro, admitted in Feburary to holding up The Bank in Deptford on May 9, 2011. He was sentenced Monday. Davis’s robbery—carried out with accused accomplice Dwayne Tribbett, who was later shot and killed by police in a separate incident—unfolded much like a Hollywood drama. The pair wore masks and Davis brandished an Uzi-style submachine gun and ordered everyone to the floor during the robbery. The men stole $10,000 in the holdup, and then went to the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Philadelphia, where they stayed two nights, but skipped out on the tab. Davis was on the …

Paulsboro Man Wanted in Gloucester County on Warrant

Leroy Dorsey failed to appear in state Superior Court in Woodbury, authorities said.

Leroy Dorsey, 35, of Paulsboro, is wanted by the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office on a warrant.  He failed to appear in Superior Court in Woodbury on May 9, 2013, for a pre-arraignment interview on a charge of theft by deception, authorities said.  Dorsey is  5 feet, 11 inches tall, weighs 150 pounds and has brown eyes and black hair. He has tattoo Chinese writing tattooed on his right arm and "Melaney" tattooed on the left side of his neck. Dorsey's last known address is 421 Thompson Ave., Apt. A, Paulsboro.   On Dec. 15, 2012, an East Greenwich police officer was dispatched to Iron Butterfly, an antiques and collectibles business on Swedesboro Avenue for a report of stolen checks. UPDATE: 2 in Critical Condition After Crash in Logan Twp.

Seven people were injured. Investigators suspect the driver, Tyler Burlingame, 21, of Paulsboro, may have had too much to drink.

Seven young people were injured in a single-vehicle crash in Logan Twp. Thursday, when police say the soft-top Jeep Wrangler in which they were traveling overturned on Floodgate Rd. Acording to the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office, alcohol consumption by the driver, 21-year-old Tyler Burlingame of Paulsboro, may have played a role in the accident. The crash remains under criminal investigation. Burlingame's Jeep "turned sharply on the road at a location between the Bridgeport Raceway and the Delaware River," according to a statement from the prosecutor's office. Mark Goggin, Maria Budd Honored for Child Rescue

'It's an amazing thing that was done,' said Mark Goggin's son, Conor. 'It will never be forgotten.'

West Deptford resident Mark Goggin and Green-Fields school nurse Maria Budd, who last year were honored by the township for their roles in the rescue of a drowning child, were again distinguished last month at the county level. Goggin and Budd received joint commendations from the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office, PBA, FOP and Police Chiefs Association as "Life-Saving Civilians" and "Civilians of the Year." Goggin's son Conor, who told West Deptford Patch about the story, said his father was proud of the acknowledgment, but too modest to share the details of the event. Paulsboro Man Sentenced to 30 Years for Rape, Burglary, Theft

Prosecutors said that even from jail, David A. Richardson 'continues to traumatize' his victim, an ex-girlfriend, and her child.

A Paulsboro man who twice raped and robbed an ex-girlfriend in an encounter so violent she kicked a hole in her wall will serve at least 25 years for the crime. David A. Richardson, 39, of Paulsboro, was sentenced May 10 to 30 years in state prison for a June 2010 attack on a former girlfriend in her Woodbury home. "His victim and ex-girlfriend called him a monster who continues to traumatize her and her daughter, and his prosecutor said he has ignored all court orders in his past criminal cases," read a statement issued by the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office. Kirk M. Stuart, 36, of 58 Woodstown Road, Mullica Hill, is wanted by the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office on a warrant.  Stuart failed to appear in state Superior Court in Woodbury on April 24, 2013 for a status conference on a theft charge.   He is 6 feet, 2 inches tall, weighs 220 pounds, and has brown eyes and brown hair.
