In the opening conference game of the season, the Red Raiders pull off what only one team could in the last two years: Beat the Bulldawgs.
For the last two years, the Colonial Conference has been about just two teams: West Deptford and Haddonfield. Friday night, Paulsboro served notice this year will be different. The Red Raiders shut out the Bulldawgs on the road, 10-0, behind a 10-yard touchdown run by Deshaun Burgess and a 37-yard field goal from Mike Maccarone. It was the only Colonial game on the night—Saturday will be a crowded day for the conference: Collingswood is at Woodbury, Haddon Heights hosts Gateway, Sterling travels to Haddon Township, Overbrook hosts Audubon and West Deptford will head to Lindenwold.
