A municipal court judge on Wednesday found former West Deptford Planning Board Chairman Scott Kintzing not guilty of lewdness. The verdict ended an embarrassing chapter in the well-known community member's life. Kintzing was accused of exposing his buttocks to a female custodian outside Oakview Elementary School on the night of October 23, 2012, as he changed out of his gym clothes following a men's basketball league game inside the school's gymnasium. Maurice River Township municipal court's judge calls for a special session to hear the lewdness case in its entirety.
After several postponements, former West Deptford Planning Board Chairman Scott Kintzing is still without a resolution to a lewdness charge against him. Kintzing appeared Tuesday night in Maurice River Township municipal court. Judge John A. Casarow Jr. ordered the case heard in a special session to allot enough time for each side to present its case. After a brief conference with Kintzing’s attorney Jeffery V. Puff of Woodbury, Prosecutor Edward Duffy and Casarow—resulting in a court break—Casarow stated a special session is needed due to the brief nature of Tuesday night’s court session. Scott Kintzing, chairman of the township Planning Board, was allegedly naked when a female custodian confronted him outside Oakview Elementary School.
The chairman of the township Planning Board has been charged with lewdness for allegedly stripping naked outside a local school after taking part in a basketball game. Scott Kintzing, 59, was served with a summons on Nov. 12, said West Deptford Police Chief Craig Mangano. The incident happened about 7:30 p.m. Oct. 23 outside Oakview Elementary School, Mangano said Monday. It was captured on security footage of school grounds. A female school custodian witnessed Kintzing changing his clothes outside the back of the school after the game. The custodian told police Kintzing was completely naked when she confronted him. Walter, IF that were the case & other people were found not guilty then that too would be just as wrong. People not just including him, should not be able to do what he did & just get away doing what he did. His actions that day were wrong & very inappropriate.
