Ronald Winzinger Arrested in Fatal Hit-and-Run

The Hainesport man turns himself into state police after troopers cast a wide net for the suspect in the deadly I-676 car accident.

New Jersey State Police said a Burlington County man is responsible for a weekend car accident that left a 29-year-old woman dead and troopers searching for the driver who fled the scene. Ronald Winzinger, 35, of Hainesport, surrendered himself at the state police’s Bordentown station on Monday evening. Police say Winzinger plowed into a Mazda with his Nissan Xterra at 11:40 a.m. on Saturday, June 2 on I-676. Winzinger reportedly exited his vehicle, but fled the scene when he saw the extent of the injuries and damage. An initial investigation pegs excessive speed and Winzinger’s attempts to change lanes to exit the road as causing the crash. Several people were injured in the Mazda, which had stopped for traffic.
