Kaminski, Bonner Fall in Round of 16 at States
Tyler Kaminski and Rory Bonner will compete in wrestlebacks today as they try to work their way up to a third-place finish.
After making a stunning run to a Region 8 title as a No. 6 seed, West Deptford junior Tyler Kaminski was hoping to make a few more believers in him at this weekend’s State Wrestling Tournament in Atlantic City. Unfortunately, he will now have to do that in the consolation rounds. After receiving a bye into the pre-quarterfinals, Kaminski was overmatched against Bridgewater-Raritan’s Matthew Noble, falling 6-1. Kaminski, a No. 3 seed, will look to keep his state tournament alive today when he competes in the first of what he hopes will be several wrestlebacks on his way to a third-place finish.
