Alleged Wine-Bottle Beater Seeking Drug Court Rehab

But a judge told 28-year-old Heather Seehousz of Buena that an assault charge disqualifies her from the state's nonviolent offender program.

A 28-year-old Buena, NJ resident who is charged with beating a Glassboro woman unconscious with a wine bottle last summer is asking the state to consider her for alternative sentencing.

Heather Seehousz's attorney requested that Drug Court Judge Gary Wodlinger consider her “long-standing drug history” as grounds to admit her in the program, according to a statement from the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office.

But Wodlinger replied that such an appeal would be "rolling uphill" against the statutes of the program, which is only open to nonviolent offenders. Seehousz faces second-degree aggravated assault and robbery charges that would render her ineligible for Drug Court.
